Part-time Full Charge Bookkeeper (16-30 hours/week, on-site) Wayne, NJ. Hourly Rate: $25-$32 per hour
Requires: 3-5 years’ full charge bookkeeping experience, proficient with Excel and Quick Books, client-facing communication skills. Team management experience is a plus

Our client is a growing bookkeeping firm that has been providing full-charge bookkeeping services for businesses and individuals for more than 15 years. The company has an opening for an experienced full-time full-charge bookkeepers to perform entry and review work on-site in the Wayne, NJ office.
Responsibilities of the Full Charge Bookkeeper:- Review and enter monthly banking and credit card activity for the firm’s various clients
- Post payments to invoices (Accounts Receivable)
- Pay invoices as needed (Accounts Payable)
- Prepare monthly financials and interact directly with clients as needed
- Post journal entries
- Calculate and remit sales tax for clients
- Perform reconciliations of payroll and payroll taxes with payroll returns
- Review general ledger and other staffers’ work for accuracy
- Conduct occasional site visits to clients as needed (no overnight travel)
- Other duties may be assigned
- Three to five years’ full-charge bookkeeping experience, including some experience with Accounts Receivable, Collections and Accounts Payable
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Excel and Word.
- Experienced with Quick Books online or desktop
- Detail-oriented, analytical, able to analyze and catch errors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write correspondence in proper grammatical form and to effectively present information verbally in a small group situation or to a client or other employees ;
Experience working with clients is preferred - Able to work independently and strong organizational skills
- High ethical standards
- Team management experience is a plus
- Must be able to travel to client sites occasionally as needed (no overnight travel)
- Must be able to put in a few extra hours during tax season
