Tax Accountant

Overview

The Income Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and filing U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, supporting tax provision under US GAAP and IFRS, and maintaining tax account reconciliations and supporting schedules. The role handles tax authority notices, extensions, estimates and payments, researches U.S. income tax issues, and supports tax compliance calendars and internal controls. This position is based in Wayne, NJ and works closely with the Americas tax team.

• Prepare U.S. federal, state and local income tax returns, including cross-border transaction reporting
• Prepare extensions, estimates and related tax payments
• Prepare income tax provision under US GAAP and IFRS and maintain account roll-forwards
• Perform and maintain tax account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Manage responses to tax authority notices and coordinate with third-party preparers for Canadian returns
• Research and document U.S. income tax issues and conclusions

• 3+ years of tax experience; public accounting and/or corporate industry experience preferred
• Bachelor s or Master’s degree in accounting or a tax concentration
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Onesource a plus
• Experience with fixed asset depreciation calculations preferred
• Experience in retail, consumer products, or luxury brands is a plus
• Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team
