Preconstruction Manager - Commercial Construction

A well-established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead the planning, estimating, and budgeting process for commercial construction projects from concept through award. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys collaborating with clients, architects, and project teams to ensure successful project execution from day one.

• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and/or preconstruction management
• Required experience managing preconstruction efforts for public sector construction projects in New Jersey, including public bidding, procurement requirements, and prevailing wage regulations
• Strong experience with conceptual estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and cost analysis
• Ability to lead preconstruction meetings and collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams
• Experience preparing bid packages, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and developing project schedules
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and market pricing
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
