We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Landscape Architect/Planner to join our team in Wayne, PA. This role will support our Land Planning/Landscape Architecture department by assisting with site analysis, site planning, landscape design, and technical and graphic production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and preparation of plans, construction documents, and graphics.
  • Prepare sketches, final drawings, and technical specifications (if required) for each project
  • Conduct site inspections to assess, and inventory, existing site conditions including vegetative (woodland & plant inventories), slope conditions, drainage, solar aspect, and existing structures & improvements, roads, and utilities that may affect a project.
  • Perform feasibility studies.
  • Review, in conjunction with your supervisor(s), the zoning and land development regulations pertinent to the property.
  • Work with supervisor(s) to develop site, landscaping, and lighting design solutions to meet the project requirements.
  • Create presentation boards to support agency and community presentations.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, standard practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation and annotation on plans, reports, and exhibits.
  • Use established CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings and analysis from marked-up plans and/or verbal instructions from your supervisor.
  • Assists other departments with drafting and rendering needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or planning.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in planning, site, amenity, and landscape design.
  • An understanding of grading and stormwater management concepts.
  • Excellent design, graphic skills.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proactive work ethic and keen attention to detail.
  • CAD experience (preferably Auto CAD/Civil 3D).
  • Proficiency in graphic platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch Up, and V-Ray.
  • Ability to implement site and land plans based upon sound planning and landscape architecture principles and local zoning and subdivision/land development regulations, preferred.
  • Horticultural knowledge including plant material identification skills and planting design, a plus.
