Adjunct Faculty position within the Cotsakos College of Business, Department of Management, Marketing, and Professional Sales (MMPS).
Department OverviewThe Department of Management, Marketing, and Professional Sales offers BS and MS programs focused on sustainable business practices, consumer behavior, international markets, and strategic leadership. Students develop strong communication and technology skills in a collaborative environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop syllabi, learning objectives, and assessment methods for up to 6 undergraduate credits per semester.
- Teach courses online and/or in person as scheduled by the department.
- Provide consistent student support, mentorship, and academic guidance.
- Contribute to student success through role‑modeling and effective counseling.
- Master’s or MBA in an applied business discipline.
- Five or more years of managerial experience.
- Full‑time or part‑time employment or active professional practice.
- Ability to teach online.
- Professional certification or continuing education in a relevant business domain.
- Professional activity within the discipline (e.g., leadership, managerial role, association member).
- Experience teaching both online and in person.
- Master’s or MBA in an applied business discipline.
- Ten or more years of managerial experience.
- Full‑time or part‑time employment or active professional practice.
- Ability to teach online.
- Professional certification or continuing education relevant to the business domain.
- Published peer or non‑peer reviewed articles, conference papers, blogs, or books.
- Board membership in a business enterprise, non‑profit organization, or professional association.
- Ability to translate business experience into pedagogical approaches.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Commitment to teaching excellence, assessment strategies, and positive learning outcomes.
- Patience and resourcefulness in managing student challenges.
- Ability to foster robust working relationships in a diverse environment.
- Capacity to set and pursue common goals collaboratively.
New employees: $2,100/CREDIT. Employees with 13 or more semesters at WP: $2,175/CREDIT.
