Position Overview

The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District seeks a passionate, student-centered, and culturally responsive educator to serve as a Spanish Teacher at Valley Forge Middle School. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop proficiency in the Spanish language while fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures and global perspectives.

This educator will create engaging learning experiences that promote communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and intercultural competence. Instruction should align with ACTFL World-Readiness Standards, Pennsylvania Academic Standards, and the district's World Language curriculum. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting all learners in developing proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while creating an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Required

* Valid Pennsylvania Spanish (PK-12 or K-12) Certification.

* Demonstrated knowledge of second-language acquisition and proficiency-based instructional practices.

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

* Commitment to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.

* Ability to effectively integrate technology into instruction and student learning.

Preferred

* Experience teaching Spanish at the middle school level.

* Experience implementing proficiency-based language instruction aligned with ACTFL standards.

* Experience working with diverse student populations and differentiated instructional practices.

Additional certification in another world language or related educational field.
