Job Description
The Graduate Student Services Coordinator supports the administrative and clinical training operations of the MA Program in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. This role manages graduate admissions, student services, practicum placements, program communications, and key data for accreditation and reporting. The Coordinator works closely with the graduate director, faculty, practicum supervisors, graduate assistants, and university offices to ensure smooth program functioning and high-quality student support.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate graduate admissions, including inquiry follow-up, application review processes, interview scheduling, decision tracking, and onboarding of new students.
- Maintain student records, academic milestones, practicum documentation, graduation requirements, and alumni licensure support materials.
- Manage all practicum and internship placements: site communication, contracts, supervisor relations, documentation tracking, and development of new placement opportunities.
- Organize major program events such as orientations, workshops, recruitment days, and graduation.
- Maintain program communications, listservs, templates, shared drives, and website information.
- Prepare data and documentation for accreditation, assessment, and program reporting.
- Supervise graduate assistants, collaborate with program directors, and department staff.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the mission, functioning, and continuous improvement of the graduate psychology programs.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred, especially in psychology, counseling, higher education administration, or a related field. - Experience in higher education, student services, or clinical training environments.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, documentation, and follow-through.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain structured workflows.
- Proficiency with platforms such as Slate, Banner, Workday, Qualtrics, One Drive, Google Workspace, or similar systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships with students, faculty, and external partners.
- Experience coordinating practicum, internship, or clinical training placements.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and data reporting.
- Experience supervising student workers or graduate assistants.
- Knowledge of mental health licensure documentation and requirements.
Starting Salary - AFT Range 18: $55,142.18 - $63,410.34.
