Summer Camp Coach

Kid Strong is a child development training center focused on brain, physical, and character development for children up to 11 years old. We seek energetic, enthusiastic professionals to coach kids during our summer camp program.

The Role & Schedule
  • Coach children aged 4‑9 with a background in athletics or coaching, preferably with summer camp experience.
  • Focus on brain, physical, and character development using the Kid Strong curriculum.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians about incidents during camp.
  • Camps run when school is out, typically from 9 am to 2:30 pm; availability during these hours is required.
  • May have additional private coaching hours and Kid Strong Class coaching, requiring further training.
  • Summer camp runs from the end of June to the end of August.
Coach Responsibilities
  • Manage camps with up to 20 children aged 4‑9.
  • Teach the Kid Strong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
  • Ensure camps start and end on schedule and follow the curriculum pace.
  • Greet students and their parents/guardians upon arrival.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor while leading camp.
  • Demonstrate and manage implementation of various exercises.
  • Keep accurate attendance records.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center, including lobby, bathrooms, and play areas.
  • Use the KS Coach's App to record class data and provide records for parents.
  • Communicate professionally with co‑workers via Slack.
  • Complete required training through Learn Upon as directed by the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment, moving up to 25 lb of equipment and covering multiple miles per shift.
  • Work hands‑on with kids to ensure proper technique and safety.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings as required by the Kid Strong Director.
  • Obtain camp‑certified status from the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Supervise, maintain safety, and implement program for all campers.
Job Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children is non‑negotiable.
  • Prior experience coaching children in the appropriate age range is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred.
  • CPR certified.
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter who can get a job done.
  • Comfortable working in the spotlight.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour
