Adjunct Faculty - Accounting and Law

Responsibilities

• Develop relevant syllabi based on course outlines for up to six (6) credits per semester.
• Deploy course content, objectives, and assessment methods.
• Contribute to student success through consistent support, mentoring, and role‑modeling.
• Teach in person and/or online, depending on schedules and department needs.

Undergraduate courses:

• Master’s or MBA in accounting or related field plus a CPA with at least 5 years managerial experience teaching accounting.
• J.D. plus L.L.M for teaching Taxation and Business Law courses.
• Full‑time or part‑time employment or active professional practice.
• Ability to teach online.
• Preferred:
  One or more years teaching at the higher‑education level and professional activity within the discipline.

Graduate courses:

• Master’s or MBA in accounting or related field plus a CPA with at least 10 years managerial experience teaching accounting.
• J.D. plus L.L.M for teaching Taxation and Business Law courses.
• Full‑time or part‑time employment or active professional practice.
• Ability to teach online.
• Preferred:
  Professional certifications, exceeding fifteen years managerial experience, published scholarly work, board membership, and experience teaching online and in person.

• Adjunct staff: $2100/CREDIT for new employees; $2175/CREDIT for those with 13+ semesters at WP.
