Elementary/Secondary Teacher
Experience in biotechnology and forensics preferred. A teacher must be fully certified according to the requirements set forth by the Department of Education of the State of New Jersey. Under the guidance of the building principal, ensures that the district's standards for student instruction and curriculum content are followed, consistent with the student population to which the teacher is assigned.
Performance responsibilities include:
- Planning and preparation
- Instruction and assessment
- Classroom environment
- Professional responsibilities
Terms of employment:
Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education. Annual evaluation in accordance with the Board's policy on the evaluation of non-certificated staff.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift items, sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to handle objects and operate tools, computers, and/or controls.
Environmental demands include exposure to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and illnesses, occasional exposure to a variety of weather conditions, exposure to heated/air conditioned and ventilated facilities, and exposure to a building in which a variety of chemical substances are used for cleaning, instruction, and/or operation of equipment.
Function in a workplace that is usually moderately quiet but that can be noisy at times.
