The Lower School Art Teacher is a full-time, on-site position located in Wayne, NJ, responsible for teaching visual arts to elementary-grade students. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging art lessons, introducing students to various art techniques and media, and fostering creativity and artistic expression. The teacher will manage classroom materials and resources, assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a safe and inclusive studio environment.

Additional tasks include collaborating with colleagues on cross-curricular projects, communicating with families about student learning, and organizing student art displays and events.

• Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development focused on lower school art education.
• Demonstrated Teaching and Art Education experience with elementary-aged learners.
• Proficiency in Painting and other visual art techniques suitable for young students.
• Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Relevant teaching certification or eligibility, in accordance with state or institutional requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.
• Experience in independent or private school settings is beneficial.
