• A teacher must be fully certified according to the requirements set forth by the Department of Education of the State of New Jersey.

Under the guidance of the Building Principal, ensures that the District's standards for student instruction and curriculum content is followed, consistent with the student population to which the teacher is assigned.

• Plans and implements an instructional program within the classroom in a manner consistent with policies, curriculum, and resources approved by the Wayne Board of Education and aligned to NJ state standards and mandates
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that provide appropriate instructional strategies in order to reach all students
• Plan activities and lessons that are age-appropriate and meet the needs, interests, and ability levels of all students
• Plans with flexibility to meet the varying needs of all students
• Ensures all requirements indicated in a student's IEP are followed and incorporated
• Maintains accurate and timely records of student progress

• Plans and implements a quality instructional program within the classroom in a manner consistent with policies and curriculum approved by the Wayne Board of Education and aligned to NJ State Standards and mandates
• Differentiates for instructional purposes to enhance pupil performance and provide for individual needs
