Position Duration1 year (temp to hire)
OverviewDevelops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluation.
- Rework and repair processing production hardware and/or software processing.
- Translate customer requirements and flow down into program execution and tasking.
- Review and inspect product.
- Sell off product to DCMA.
- Create non-conformance records when needed.
- Perform daily ESD checks.
- Create DCMA submittals.
- Use tools such as microscopes, calipers, MS Office scanners, printers and copiers.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 4-6 years of experience, or 8-10 years of engineering/technical experience in lieu of degree.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings, prints, and specifications.
- Communication in a clear, concise, and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government.
- Interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn BAE Systems software and data management programs.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently with little to no oversight.
- Produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Active secret clearance.
- Prior quality assurance engineering experience.
- Program process definition and documentation.
- First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 experience.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Hands-on experience in a defense contracting environment.
- AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Program exposure.
- Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies.
- Presentation of product to customer for acceptance or sell off.
- Preparation of documentation packages for customer review.
- Hardware inspection.
- Criteria quality management systems (AS9100).
- Quality auditing configuration.
- Control and hardware configuration.
- Reporting participation.
- Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology, with zero to eight (0-8) years of experience.
Experience Required- Review/inspect product.
- Sell off product to DCMA.
- Create non-conformance records when needed.
- Daily ESD check.
Creation of DCMA submittal. - Use of tools such as microscopes, calipers, MS Office scanners, printers, and copiers.
