Portfolio and Private Investment Analyst; Principal Level

Seeking a highly driven, discreet Investment Analyst to work directly with the principal managing $250M+ of personal capital across public markets and private investments.

This is not a junior role, not a fund, and not a training program. This is an embedded, in-office role operating close to real capital allocation, private deal evaluation, and ongoing portfolio management.

Judgment, independence, availability, and confidentiality are mandatory.

• Monitor and analyze positions across equities, derivatives, macro, and alternatives
• Track performance, drawdowns, risk concentration, and liquidity
• Support trade analysis (pre- and post-execution)
• Produce short, decision-ready summaries (daily / weekly)

• Screen and evaluate private deals (early-stage, growth, special situations)
• Prepare clear investment memos (thesis, risks, exit paths)
• Track portfolio companies and follow-on activity

• Maintain internal tracking (public positions, private investments, cash, commitments)
• Coordinate with attorneys, accountants, brokers, and counter parties
• Improve workflows, reporting, and internal systems

• Absolute discretion and trustworthiness
• Extremely high work ethic and in-office availability
• Comfortable with ambiguity and incomplete information
• Independent thinker

• Strong understanding of markets and trading
• Real exposure to private deals (VC / PE / angel / special situations)
• Financial modeling and valuation
