About the InternshipESS is seeking a graduate-level Clinical Counseling Intern (Master's in Clinical Counseling) for a full academic year unpaid placement.
This internship offers hands-on experience providing school-based mental health services under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Interns will be embedded within one school site and will work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
ResponsibilitiesUnder supervision, interns will:
- Provide individual counseling to students
- Co-facilitate or facilitate group therapy
- Participate in treatment planning and case consultation
- Engage in family communication and meetings
- Complete clinical documentation in ESS's electronic medical record
- Attend supervision, team meetings, and professional development sessions
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in counseling.
- Eligible for internship placement per university guidelines
- Strong interest in working with children and adolescents
- Professional, collaborative, and eager to learn
- Commitment to completing the full academic year
- Direct clinical experience with high-acuity student populations
- Weekly supervision from licensed clinicians
- Training in ESS's structured school-based mental health model
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary school team
