Position: Caregiver & Home Health Aide Jobs in Wayne, NJ

Overview

24 HOUR Home Care NJ is hiring NJ‑certified caregivers and CHHAs for roles throughout Passaic County. We provide W‑2 employment, competitive pay, benefits, workers’ compensation, liability coverage, and flexible scheduling across all 21 New Jersey counties.

Positions & Shifts in Wayne
  • Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – NJ CHHA certification required.
  • Caregiver – Full daily support. CHHA required.
  • Companion Care Aide – No CHHA required.
  • RN Supervisor (Per Diem) – Active NJ RN license required.
  • Shifts:

    AM, PM, Overnight, Live‑In, Per Diem.
What You’ll Do as a Caregiver in Wayne
  • Personal care – Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
  • Mobility assistance – Safe transfers, ambulation support, and fall prevention.
  • Medication reminders – Accurate, on‑schedule medication management.
  • Meal preparation – Nutritious meals meeting dietary and medical requirements.
  • Transportation – Driving clients to St. Joseph’s Health, Valley Hospital, and local specialists.
  • Companionship – Social engagement and activities supporting cognitive and emotional wellness.
  • Light housekeeping – Maintaining a safe and clean home environment.
  • Documentation – Shift notes submitted to the supervising RN after each visit.

  • St. John’s Health (Paterson) – Level II Trauma Center; primary hospital for clients.
  • Valley Hospital (Ridgewood, Bergen County) – Additional referral hospital.
  • Wayne Senior Services – Township senior programs complementing in‑home care.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive pay discussed in interview per hour; consistent scheduling, paid orientation and ongoing training supervised by licensed RNs. All caregivers are W‑2 employees with workers’ compensation, liability coverage, and access to health benefits.
