Mammography Technologist – Imaging & QC Excellence

Principal Accountabilities

• Performs Mammographic and Bone Density exams;
• Performs Quality Control for Mammography to meet MQSA standards;
• Able to work independently and possesses strong critical thinking skills.
• Processes images using the PACS system.
• Complete and verify cases in a timely manner.
• Ensures work lists are cleaned up daily.
• Monitors and resolves Exceptions List daily.
• Proper utilization of the Pen Rad system.
• Assists with needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies as needed.
• Analyzes each acquired image for proper positioning, proper markers, date stickers, and appropriate labels and patient identification.
• Repeats image if presence of any factors that may deter from its diagnostic value.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
