• Grounds (Daily)
  • Remove paper, cans, and trash from grounds; keep playground equipment safe.
  • Mow, trim, and edge lawns; weed planters and flower beds; perform related maintenance.
  • Replace burned‑out bulbs and tubes; turn lights off in unoccupied rooms; check security lights.
• Custodial Cleaning (Daily)
  • Clean entrances, lobbies, and corridors: empty waste receptacles, dust mop, spot‐mop, vaccum carpets, disinfect fountains, clean door glass.

• Weekly & Monthly Cleaning – Includes dusting lockers, extinguishers, glass partitions, high dusting above 5 ft, restoring floor finishes, vacuuming upholstered furniture, and deep cleaning bathroom fixtures.

• Open and inspect building each day for heating/cooling, security, and mechanical room conditions.
• Assist with minor repairs, replace light bulbs, and maintain custodial closets and storage areas.
• Support cafeteria duties as directed; assist with summer cleaning, special events, and emergency situations.
• Restock restrooms and perform vomit cleanup per school protocols.

• Education
  :
  High School diploma or GED. Five years of skilled custodial experience preferred.
• Licenses
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
  • Low‑Pressure Boiler License – required.
• Physical Requirements
  :
  Strength, stamina and mobility to perform indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions; ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs with proper equipment; vision, hearing and speech necessary for communication.
• Skills
  :
  Planning, scheduling, coordinating, inspecting, and reviewing assigned duties; minor repair proficiency; ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Knowledge
  :
  Custodial operations in an educational setting; safety practices; building and construction laws; supply and inventory control.
