We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced leader to oversee our Supervised Visitation Services (SVS) Program. This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who is passionate about strengthening families, supporting child safety, and leading a dedicated team of professionals.
As the Visitation Program Director, you will guide program operations, support staff development, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed services for children and families.
What You’ll Do- Lead the day-to-day operations of the SVS Program
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and coach Therapeutic & Supportive Visitation Specialists, Regional Coordinators, and Visitation Aides
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to visitation staff
- Ensure all services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practices
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families using culturally sensitive communication
- Promote safe, supportive environments that encourage healthy parent-child connections
- Maintain ongoing collaboration with DCP&P, providers, and community partners
- Review case information and incorporate collateral data to inform services
- Support staff in effective engagement, active listening, and family-centered practices
- Facilitate visit planning and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Monitor program data, outcomes, and reporting requirements
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Mentor and develop staff through a trauma-informed lens
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and strengths-based team culture
- Support staff in advocating for families and connecting them to resources
- Active NJ LCSW and ACS
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in mental health services
- Minimum 2 years providing services to children, adolescents, or families
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with documentation systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic health records
- Valid NJ Driver’s License with a clean driving record
