• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
• Communicate daily with your direct supervisor and maintenance leadership regarding assignments and current machine statuses.
• Provide regular updates on machine conditions, maintenance progress, and any issues that may impact production.
• Inspect A/C motors, gearboxes, presses, resistance welders, and other roll forming equipment.
• Support changeover process for welders, mills, secondary punch machines, and specifically to California rooftop press.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
• Suggest improvements to the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Provide timely updates on scheduled preventive maintenance to avoid major downtime.
• Replace worn parts and fluids as needed.
• Test and adjust components to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Identify critical spares and consumable parts that need to be purchased.
• Conduct regular inspections of machines following SOP and instructions.
• Consult manuals and seek clarification when necessary to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
• Continuously monitor production line efficiency and engage with operations and production teams to resolve issues.
• Respond promptly to requests and inquiries regarding production lines.
• Ensure timely communication to prevent misunderstandings and minimize machine downtime.
• Prepare and provide reports and updates as required by leadership.
• Share insights and information relevant to machine performance and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with leadership to understand and execute assignments aligned with skillset.
• Report on progress of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
• Have basic understanding of Human Machine Interface (HMI) to assist with troubleshooting.
• Operate material handling equipment, including propane forklifts.
• Maintain cleanliness of area according to 5S principles to provide a safe working space.
• Support and provide input for continuous improvement activities.
• Support on-the-job training for other maintenance team members.
• Act as a team player within the maintenance team and offer support, guidance, and assistance to colleagues.
• Support in all areas as needed and requested by supervisors or management.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety rules.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety protocols.
• 6+ years of repairing/maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with presses and mills.
• Experience with welding and making minor repairs and/or adjustments.
• Comprehension of single and three-phase power requirements.
• Comprehension of machinery electrical requirements.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and basic understanding of function and operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, treat colleagues with respect, and exhibit high accountability and punctuality.
• Proven record of strong attendance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Bilingual – Spanish Preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25–50 lbs. and co-lift up to 50–100 lbs.
