Chamfer Operator (1st Shift)

We are seeking a Chamfer Operator to set up and operate manual chamfering equipment in a light industrial environment. This role focuses on meeting production targets while ensuring product quality through inspection and measurement processes.

This is a hands-on mechanical role, ideal for candidates with machine operation or mechanical experience.

• Operate and set up manual chamfer machines to meet production requirements
• Perform setups and changeovers as needed
• Conduct product inspection and measurements using standard gauging tools
• Perform visual inspections using defect charts and quality standards
• Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and control plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and production records
• Update Daily Control Systems (DCS) / machine boards as required
• Follow CIL (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication) and 5S practices
• Participate in team meetings, shift handoffs, and safety discussions
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality policies
• Support training initiatives and assist team members as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior machine operation experience REQUIRED
• Mechanical background or aptitude strongly preferred
• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, steel rule)
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures
• Basic computer skills (keyboard and mouse)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• $21.00/hr – 0–4 years of machine operator experience
• $23.50/hr – 5+ years of experience

• On-site interviews required
• Background check must be completed prior to start

• This is a temporary assignment only (3–6 months)
• Candidates must have hands-on machine operation experience (mechanical experience acceptable)
• Client is prioritizing candidates who can start as soon as possible
