Chamfer Operator - 2nd shift

Saint-Gobain located in Wayne, NJ is looking for a Chamfer Operator – 2nd shift.

• Base hourly pay: $21.00 to $23.50 per hour, depending on experience.
• Shift differential: $1.00 per hour.
• Annual bonus target up to 10% of hourly rate.
• Standard overtime at 1.5× hourly rate.

• Second Shift schedule:
  Monday to Friday 3:00pm – 11:30pm.
• Set up, control, and operate chamfer equipment to achieve production work order quantities.
• Inspect and measure product characteristics to ensure acceptable quality levels according to SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
• Perform sampling, preparation, and measurements using designated equipment as prescribed.
• Visually inspect product quality characteristics using visual standards and defect mode charts.
• Update associated records, forms, check sheets, computer files, and logbooks with required information.
• Participate in team communication sessions, safety trainings, and other team meetings.
• Follow CIL, 5S, and housekeeping standards; maintain cleanliness of area and equipment.
• Update Daily Control System or Machine Board as required and follow escalation protocols.
• Participate in self-development opportunities and training of others.
• Understand environmental, quality, and safety policies and their impact on customer quality.
• Perform additional related duties as directed by supervisor or manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to read and follow operating procedures, work instructions, and labels.
• With training, able to perform tasks independently and interdependently as part of a team.
• Mechanical capabilities and experience.
