Buyer, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the production planning department supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Contract Planner

Location: Wayne, NJ

Pay Range: $34hr-$36hr

What's the Job?

• Prepare and monitor weekly production plans, translating customer demand into actionable manufacturing schedules.
• Manage key projects while balancing core production activities on the manufacturing floor.
• Develop and maintain key operational metrics to drive improved plant performance.
• Utilize SAP to track production launches and resolve discrepancies between schedules and actual outputs.
• Ensure a continuous flow of materials to avoid delays and under utilization of resources.

What's Needed?

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in production planning, purchasing, or materials management.
• Experience in a regulated industry, such as GMPs and ISO 9000, is ideal.
• APICS Certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with SAP or equivalent MRP systems is required.
