Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat-Sun 8am-5pm. Block scheduling 3x12's week one then 2x12's and 2x9's week two. Must be willing to work every other weekend.

Summary
:
The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Manages patient teaching, communication, triage, and documentation in Epic. Ensures patient safety, privacy, and timely response to clinical needs. Collaborates with the care team, supports quality improvement, promotes evidence-based practice, and upholds organizational values in alignment with company policy.
- Utilizes the nursing process effectively (assessing the patient and situation, identifying the problem, planning, implementing, and evaluating care through the health care continuum).
- Coordinates and completes patient assessment and re-assessment to positively impact quality outcomes; demonstrates competent clinical skills.
- Assesses barriers to learning and functional status of patient; coordinates, evaluates, and completes patient/family teaching.
- Responds to patients/families in a courteous, positive, and timely manner.
- Respects patient privacy and dignity; maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines; promotes a positive environment and PRIDE values; interacts with patients and team members; documents in Epic as appropriate; facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration.
- In basket management; assists with pharmacy contact, medication ordering and renewal; reviews and disseminates labs based on acuity; responds to patient messages in collaboration with clinicians.
- Recognizes emergency situations and acts appropriately; clarifies physician orders as indicated; maintains a safe environment for team members and patients/visitors; utilizes safety principles.
- Reports all injuries using the event reporting system.
- Demonstrates knowledge of medication and vaccine administration; carries out physician orders accurately and timely; monitors effects and reports adverse effects promptly.
- Follows policies and procedures, including knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures; identifies and reports risk management issues promptly.
- Responsible for phone management of patients; triages calls to evaluate the chief complaint and urgency; documents communications and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Participates in regular practice huddles; communicates effectively with team members and physicians; resolves problems and conflicts; acts as a resource/mentor to support the team.
- Utilizes standard precautions and follows patient safety goals.
- Collaborates with all health care team members to promote evidence-based care and a healing culture.
- Documents patient response to treatment; reports changes in condition to the clinician; maintains documentation and order entry accuracy; proficient in information systems.
- Pursues formal and independent learning to enhance knowledge and professional development.
- Monitors quality dashboards for assigned clinicians/practice.
- Performs other duties per operational needs within the RN scope; supports strategic goals of the clinical practice and system.

- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- RN license, valid in the State of NJ
- At least 2 years of clinical practice, ambulatory experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 1 year of emergency nurse experience
