Fragrance Evaluator

Job Description

Are you an experienced fragrance evaluator with a refined sense of smell and a passion for sensory analysis? Join our client's QC team in Wayne, NJ, as a Finished Goods Evaluator in this temporary position until the end of the year. Your expertise in evaluating scents will help ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality.

Pay Rate: $35-$45 per hour (DOE)

This is a contract position until the end of the year.

• Perform organoleptic (olfactive, texture, appearance) analyses of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products, following prescribed testing procedures.
• Evaluate and record sensory impressions accurately and consistently.
• Maintain records of test results and report findings to requestors.
• Work under general supervision.
• Handle special tasks and projects as requested to meet company objectives.
• Participate in relevant education/training and adhere to environmental policies and practices.
• Support other duties and responsibilities in alignment with company objectives.

• Required: Previous experience as a fragrance evaluator or in a similar sensory evaluation role.
• Required: Advanced sensory evaluation (olfaction) skills.
• Nice to Have: Experience with SAP.
• Nice to Have: GC Interpretation skills.

• Formal education or technical background is not necessary, but experience in sensory analysis is essential.

• Excellent sensory perception and descriptive abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Dependable and detail-oriented.
