Quality Assurance Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support the inspection, testing, documentation, and customer acceptance of complex electronic and production hardware. This role will ensure products meet applicable drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and inspect production hardware for compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Present completed products to customers and DCMA for acceptance and sell-off.
- Prepare DCMA submittals and customer documentation packages.
- Create and process nonconformance reports when required.
- Support rework and repair activities.
- Perform daily electrostatic discharge (ESD) checks.
- Develop and maintain quality evaluation and control procedures.
- Translate customer requirements into program processes and production tasking.
- Support First Article Inspections and hardware configuration reporting.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities.
- Use inspection equipment, including microscopes and calipers.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, customers, and government representatives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline with 4–6+ years of relevant experience, or 8–10+ years of relevant engineering or technical experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience reviewing, inspecting, and presenting production hardware for customer acceptance.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and specifications.
- Experience creating nonconformance documentation.
- Knowledge of rework and repair processes.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams, customers, and U.S. government representatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Previous Quality Assurance Engineering experience.
- Defense contracting or government customer experience.
- Experience manufacturing complex electronic assemblies.
- First Article Inspection and AS9102 experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems.
- Exposure to AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Experience with quality auditing and hardware inspection criteria.
- Knowledge of configuration control and hardware configuration reporting.
- Experience participating in Root Cause Corrective Action activities.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Pay Range: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
