Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping operations, including preparing shipments, reviewing shipping documentation, printing labels, verifying order information, coordinating carrier activity, and helping ensure outbound orders are shipped accurately and timely.

The Shipping Clerk works with Shipping, Operations, Order Processing, Inventory Management, Quality Control, Client Services, Production, and other cross-functional teams to support outbound workflow, issue resolution, documentation accuracy, and customer requirements. This role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, communication, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Support daily shipping activities to ensure outbound orders are processed, documented, labeled, staged, and shipped accurately and in a timely manner.

Review order information, shipping labels, packing slips, carrier requirements, client instructions, system data, and shipment documentation for accuracy.

Print, apply, verify, and maintain shipping labels, packing slips, shipment documents, and other outbound materials.

Scan, update, stage, sort, and move orders or product based on shipping workflow and operational priorities.

Coordinate with carriers, drivers, dock teams, shipping leadership, and internal departments to support outbound flow.

Identify and report shipping discrepancies, missing information, address issues, damaged product, incorrect labels, system errors, or shipment delays.

Maintain accurate records, logs, trackers, shipment documentation, dock paperwork, and follow-up notes as required.

Partner with Operations, Order Processing, Inventory Management, Quality Control, Client Services, Production, and other teams to resolve shipment issues.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping, dock, staging, and work areas.

Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, equipment use requirements, SOPs, and site rules.

Communicate shipping status, delays, carrier issues, documentation concerns, or operational needs to leadership in a timely manner.

Support additional Shipping, Operations, or site priorities as needed based on business needs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications Mandatory:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous warehouse, shipping, fulfillment, logistics, distribution, order processing, receiving, or related operational experience.

Strong attention to detail and ability to review labels, shipment information, documentation, and system data accurately.

Ability to scan, label, sort, stage, move, and document orders or product accurately.

Ability to identify and escalate discrepancies, damages, missing information, address issues, or shipment concerns.

Ability to follow SOPs, client requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.

Basic computer or scanner skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems, shipping systems, carrier portals, or related systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client, order, shipment, system, or business related information.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or schedule changes when required by business needs.
