Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

Stable client located in the King of Prussia/Wayne area is looking to staff an Accounts Receivable Specialist who enjoys working with numbers while building strong customer relationships and contributing to overall financial stability. In this role, you will oversee the collection of outstanding payments, prepare and submit customer invoices, post remittances to customer accounts, monitor AR aging accounts, process deposits and credit card payments, assist with invoices disputes, review credit memos, and update customer accounts as needed.

The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist should have a flair for numbers, excellent research abilities, thorough communication skills, and an expertise in time management.

Major Responsibilities

· Investigate and review account discrepancies

· Generate collections correspondence to customers

· Process check runs, wire transfers, ACH payments, and credit card transactions

· Maintain and update customer accounts

· Process adjustments and resolve billing discrepancies

· Prepare monthly financial statements

· Monitor cash flow

· Research and analysis documentation

· Assist with administrative activities

Requirements

The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Accounts Receivable Specialist role include and are not limited to:

· 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting

· Strong understanding of billing, collections, and cash application processes

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Knowledge of credit analysis and customer risk assessment practices
