We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join a growing real estate organization. This role will support the accounting operations for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while working closely with leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow their career within real estate.
Responsibilities- Manage the monthly close process for an assigned portfolio of properties
- Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Monitor tenant receivables and perform bank reconciliations
- Process property-level accounts payable and assist with cash management
- Post accruals and distributions
- Support audit requests and lender reporting as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 3–5 years of real estate accounting experience (senior living experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Yardi strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
