Accounting Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused accounting professional to join our team as a Client Accounting Manager. This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, managing multiple engagements, and leveraging cloud-based accounting tools to deliver high-quality financial reporting and operational support.
The Client Accounting Manager serves as a trusted financial partner to clients, ensuring their day-to-day accounting operations run smoothly while delivering accurate and timely financial information that supports sound business decisions.
This position combines technical accounting expertise, client relationship management, and oversight of staff-level work in a collaborative and service-oriented environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned clients, maintaining proactive communication and strong working relationships.
- Provide guidance to clients on accounting processes, reporting timelines, and financial best practices.
- Deliver high-quality accounting services while ensuring responsiveness and client satisfaction.
Provide or oversee core accounting functions including:
- Processing client invoices and accounts receivable activity
- Posting and reconciling customer payments
- Coding and entering financial transactions accurately
- Processing vendor bills and accounts payable activity
- Reviewing monthly A/P ledgers and ensuring accuracy
- Preparing and reviewing sales tax reports
- Managing payroll processing through third‑party applications
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements for client distribution
- Perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies
- Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and clearly communicated to clients
- Delegate or review staff-level accounting work when appropriate
- Improve accounting workflows through automation, software integrations, and best practices
- Maintain organized client documentation and support compliance standards
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Experience working with multiple clients or engagements preferred
- Background in public accounting, outsourced accounting, or CAS practices strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Online
- Ability or willingness to become a Quick Books Pro Advisor
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools and integrations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
