Lead Automotive Technician | 3rd Generation Family Owned Shop | HIgh Car Count | Wayna PA

Overview

A respected family-owned independent automotive repair shop in Wayne, PA is seeking an experienced Lead Automotive Technician to join its team. Family-owned and in business for over 50 years, this trusted 5-bay shop has built a loyal customer base by providing honest service and quality repairs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys leading by example, mentoring others, and working in a close-knit, team-oriented environment where quality always comes first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on domestic and import vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Lead daily shop workflow by assisting technicians with diagnostics, repair procedures, and quality control.
  • Mentor and develop junior technicians while promoting best practices and teamwork.
  • Communicate repair findings and recommendations with service advisors and management.
  • Ensure repairs are completed correctly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Lead Technician or Shop Foreman preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic, drivability, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • ASE Certifications preferred (Master Technician Certification is a plus).
  • Experience servicing domestic and import vehicles.
  • Own professional tools (shop provides major equipment and diagnostic equipment).
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
