Position SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full‑time Early Elementary School Teacher to join our joyful community of educators. The ideal candidate will cultivate a warm and structured classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow in knowledge, faith, and friendship.
Key Responsibilities- Faith Formation:
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into everyday instruction and classroom culture.
- Prepare students for sacraments.
- Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
- Use data‑informed strategies to differentiate instruction and meet diverse student needs.
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking across all subject areas.
- Classroom Environment:
- Create a respectful, joyful, and well‑managed classroom space.
- Use positive behavior strategies to support social‑emotional learning and growth.
- Assessment and Communication:
- Monitor student progress through both formal and informal assessments.
- Communicate proactively and consistently with parents and school leadership to celebrate student achievements and address individual needs.
- Collaboration and Professional Growth:
- Partner closely with partner teacher, learning support specialists, and colleagues to support student success.
- Participate in school‑wide events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities with energy and openness.
- A commitment to the mission and values of St. Katharine of Siena School.
- A passion for working with children and a love for teaching in a Catholic school setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- Valid teaching certification and experience in elementary education.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfort with integrating technology into instruction.
