The plant is located between Monroe, LA and Vicksburg, MS.

• Drive Safety to be engrained in the culture of the Cast House employees
• Responsible for the safety of all Cast House employees
• Will be the site SPA for Molten Metal
• Responsible for performance management evaluation process for the Cast House employees, both salaried and hourly
• Willingness and ability to hold subordinates accountable for their areas of responsibility
• Responsible for maintaining quality standards and keeping training up to date for both direct and indirect reporting employees
• Responsible for maximizing scrap utilization and minimizing prime utilization
• Accountable for on time delivery to the next customer both internal and external
• Responsible for Cast House productivity and execution of standard processes and procedures
• Responsible for accurate reporting of the DAR Daily Activity Report
• Pulls from all resources to ensure that continuous improvement is engrained in the workforce culture
• Responsible for problem solving and corrective actions
• Responsible for making the monthly spending budget for the Cast House
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a 1 to 3‑year and 3 to 5‑year Capital plan
• Responsible for developing action plans and the execution of the plans for large events within the Cast House
• Maintain a good working relationship with the Central Metals Group
• Maintain all Cast House training records and annual Training Checklist
• Completing annual reviews of JSA’s and LOTO procedures
• Accountable for staffing plan of the Cast House
• Responsible for the development of Cast House Supervisors and Team Leaders

• In depth knowledge of casting processes, operation of equipment, aluminum alloys & standards, use of precision instruments, customer orders and specifications.
• Ability to use various systems to track, understand and improve on all KPI’s.
• Experience with ISO 9000 and/or IATF 16949 Quality Systems
• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to communicate orally and written effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, setting priorities and meeting deadlines

Education and Work Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience where similar knowledge is required
• 5 years’ experience in aluminum casting, extrusion or related industry.
• 5 years’ prior of supervisory experience in an industrial plant environment.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma a plus.
