Bala Consulting Engineers is a 200‑person engineering firm headquartered in Wayne, PA with offices in New York, Boston, Baltimore and Washington, DC.
We are seeking an ambitious Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to join the Arlington, VA office. This role focuses on designing, sizing, and detailing plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse project types.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience (internship or co‑op experience considered for recent graduates)
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection system design
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards
- Strong communication, presentation, and client interface skills
- Layout and sizing of plumbing and fire protection systems
- Equipment layout and sizing
- Determine schedules and details required for the project
- Ensure flow of information between disciplines
- Assist in writing reports and feasibility studies
- Review shop drawings with project engineer
- Field contractor questions
