Overview

Job Title: Collections Associate

Location: Wayne, PA 19087 (In person at the Wayne, PA Office)

Position Type: Full Time |
Salary: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour + monthly incentive |
Non-Exempt

Reports To: AVP of Collections

Summary

The Bilingual Collections Associate places calls to past-due customers, attorneys, and authorized third parties to collect past-due payments, reduce delinquency, and minimize losses. The ideal candidate has collections and call center experience, is customer-centered and a self-starter with a keen eye for detail. Understanding data confidentiality is essential.

Schedule
  • Monday to Friday and occasional weekends
  • 8 hours per day; shift timing to be determined by Manager

Responsibilities
  • Perform calls for past-due loans, foreclosures, and bankruptcy (if applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to a collection operation.
  • Adhere to personnel department guidelines and quality standards of the company.
  • Follow policies and procedures of the company.
  • Maintain service quality standards and keep the delinquency rate below industry standards.
  • Comply with service level agreements of the different investors.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints within a reasonable time.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual – Spanish speaking.
  • Collections experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures and regulations in the mortgage banking industry.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms used in mortgage banking.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional attitude and behavior.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Desire to work as part of a dynamic and productive team.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (copiers, scanners, fax machines).
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
  • Dependable and dedicated to the success of the team.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • College Degree (preferred)
  • Previous experience in collections or call center
