We're partnering with a well-established, publicly traded organization that is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join its leadership team.

This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and offers the opportunity to lead the full HR function for a business unit of approximately 260 employees across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on - someone who enjoys building processes, leading change, and partnering with executive leadership while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day HR operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead all aspects of Human Resources for a business unit of approximately 260 employees across multiple locations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Manage the full talent acquisition lifecycle, overseeing multiple active searches while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management.
  • Drive HR process improvement initiatives through automation, technology, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead a large‑scale project to review, update, and standardize job descriptions across the organization.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on compensation, benefits, payroll administration, HR reporting, and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding, training, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop an HR team member while partnering closely with executive leadership on strategic HR priorities.
  • Support organizational growth and change management initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with broad generalist leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting organizations of 150+ employees with ownership of the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including investigations and complex workplace issues.
  • Demonstrated success leading talent acquisition and partnering with business leaders on hiring strategy.
  • Experience managing or mentoring HR professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, performance management, compensation, and organizational development.
  • Experience leveraging HR technology, HRIS platforms, ATS systems, and process automation.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and confidently navigate challenging conversations.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for building scalable HR processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
  • Experience with in a regulated industry such as financial services, insurance, banking, healthcare, or similar environments is preferred.
  • Ability to travel periodically as needed.

Compensation

$150,000–$160,000 base salary, plus annual performance bonus.

Work Arrangement

Primarily onsite with limited remote flexibility.
