Job Description :
Pay Range: $84.81hr - $89.81hr
- The Epic Consultant will support hospital data acquisition and onboarding efforts by developing, validating, and maintaining Epic-compatible data scripts.
- This role requires deep hands-on Epic experience, strong SQL skills, and the ability to translate clinical and metric requirements into reliable technical deliverables across varying Epic environments.
- Develop, test, and document data acquisition scripts based on client specifications.
- Translate timestamp and metric requirements into Epic-compatible logic.
- Validate scripts against Epic environments to ensure accuracy, reliability, and stability.
- Review partner hospital Epic configurations, including custom workflows, Clarity and Caboodle builds, and module variations.
- Maintain and update technical specifications as new hospitals are onboarded.
- Troubleshoot Epic data issues and provide guidance on workflows and integration patterns.
- Advise stakeholders on Epic data structures, reporting limitations, and optimization approaches.
Must Have:
- 3 5+ years of hands-on Epic experience across clinical modules, data models, or reporting.
- Strong proficiency with Epic data extraction tools such as Clarity, Caboodle, and Chronicles.
- Advanced SQL and scripting capabilities.
- Experience with Epic build components including Smart Sets, Smart Forms, BPAs, and Orders.
- Solid understanding of clinical workflows and EMR data structures.
- Ability to interpret business and data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Epic certifications such as Orders, Clin Doc, Cadence, Prelude, Willow, Beacon, or related modules.
- Experience supporting custom Epic builds or multi-site Epic environments.
- Background in healthcare data integration, ETL processes, or analytics.
- Familiarity with Epic Bridges, interfaces, and reporting environments.
- Short-Term:
Script development to support current hospital data acquisition processes. - Long-Term:
Ongoing specification updates and support for onboarding hospitals with non-standard Epic environments.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
