Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    Translate organizational data strategy into execution plans; contribute to roadmap development and manage team-level priorities and budgets.
  • Delivery Oversight:
    Ensure timely delivery of data lakes, warehouses, and streaming solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
  • Team Management:
    Hire, coach, mentor, and develop data engineering teams; foster a collaborative and data-driven team culture.
  • Data Governance & Quality:
    Ensure consistent application of data governance, quality, and security frameworks across owned teams.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Partner with product managers, analytics leaders, and business stakeholders to align requirements and manage expectations.
  • Innovation:
    Evaluate new tools and techniques within team scope and recommend improvements to platforms and processes.
  • Operational Excellence & Reliability:
    Ensure operational stability of owned platforms; oversee incident response and remediation.
  • Financial & Vendor Management:
    Manage team-level budgets and cloud usage; support vendor interactions.
  • Metrics, Risk & Compliance Management:
    Track KPIs related to delivery, reliability, and quality; manage risks within assigned scope.
Qualifications
  • Data Modeling & Enablement:
    Working knowledge of analytical data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional, domain-oriented models) and how data structures support reporting, analytics, and downstream data consumers.
  • Data Engineering Foundations:
    Strong understanding of modern data lake and warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.
