Piper Companies is seeking a IT Developer
- Data Management to join a team in Wayne, PA
. This role is 4 days ONSITE
. The IT Developer is esponsible for supporting enterprise data initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining data integration processes and data warehouse solutions. This role requires strong Python and SQL skills, experience with low-code ETL tools, and the ability to work across technical and business teams to enable accurate, timely, and efficient data delivery.
- Perform data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and development of ETL/ELT processes using low-code tools and/or Python.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Support data ingestion, integration, and movement across multiple systems and platforms.
- Contribute to data warehouse design decisions and recommend optimal data structures for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Data Warehouse Architects, and BI Developers to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, mappings, and ETL workflow details.
- Debug and resolve data issues with appropriate urgency; perform root cause analysis on complex code.
- Apply best practices in data modeling (ER diagrams, normalization, dimensional modeling, etc.).
- Work within fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- 3+ years of experience developing data-centric solutions with a focus on data movement and integration.
- Advanced Python skills (required).
- Expert-level SQL experience, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong experience working with SQL-based databases (Snowflake a plus).
- Experience with low-code ETL tools (Talend or similar platforms).
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and data warehousing techniques (dimensional modeling, star schema).
- Experience working with integration patterns such as flat files, APIs, and web services.
- Ability to write clear, detailed technical documentation.
- Familiarity with .NET/C#, XML/XSLT, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex code and data issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- $85,000 – $110,000 annual base salary
- Work environment: 4 dyas ONSITE
