Description
The Senior Quality Data Analyst is responsible for the execution and oversight of data validation, quality testing, and analytical functions across the company’s data products, methodologies and pipelines. This includes designing and performing validation checks, identifying data anomalies, impact analysis and partnering with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues. They will apply deep knowledge of healthcare data to ensure that data assets meet defined quality standards and are fit for use by internal and external stakeholders.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute data validation tests and quality checks across multiple sources of health‑related data, including medical claims, pharmacy claims, and provider data.
- Identify, document, and escalates data quality issues, anomalies, and trends, and work with upstream and downstream teams to drive resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated data quality monitoring routines to proactively detect and flag issues across ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Partner with data architecture, methodology, and product teams to define and enforce data quality standards, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze large, complex healthcare and related datasets to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for quality improvement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA documentation including data quality scorecards, validation reports, test cases, and issue logs.
- Define and track quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators to provide stakeholders with ongoing visibility into data health and risk.
- Mentor junior analysts and serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare and related data quality best practices.
- Stay up to date on the latest data quality tools, technologies, and industry trends and provide recommendations for adoption as needed.
- Represent the team in stakeholder meetings, planning discussions, and other engagements as required.
- Work on projects as required from senior leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and company objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ years of related healthcare data experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 4+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, or a related field within a healthcare or health data environment.
- Extensive knowledge of medical and pharmacy claims data, payer and/or provider data, related data and supporting data structures.
- Demonstrated ability to write complex SQL queries and work with large-scale data warehouses and cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with data quality or observability tools such as Qase, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to present and communicate through remote virtual tools such as Zoom and Slack.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
