Why This Role MattersJoin Main Line Health as a Service Now Developer and play a key role in supporting and enhancing enterprise-wide automation and IT service delivery. This is a hands-on development role focused on building, configuring, and maintaining solutions that improve access to IT services and streamline operational processes.
You'll work alongside a collaborative, high-performing team to deliver impactful enhancements across the Service Now platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building efficient workflows, and contributing to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
You won't just maintain solutions, you'll help refine processes, improve functionality, and support a platform that directly impacts employee and patient experiences.

- Develop, configure, and support Service Now ITSM solutions across core modules
- Build and enhance workflows to improve service delivery and reduce process gaps
- Translate business and end-user requirements into functional system solutions
- Perform system configuration, customization, and scripting (e.g., business rules, UI policies, catalog items)
- Support integrations with third-party systems and enterprise technologies
- Participate in testing, deployment, and ongoing system enhancements
- Contribute to platform stability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support operational needs
While this role does not include formal leadership responsibilities, you will play an important role in supporting team success and platform development.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with senior engineers and architects to deliver effective technical solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and improve user experience
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and team best practices
- Build technical expertise and grow within the Service Now platform
Required
- 1–3 years of experience working with the Service Now platform
- Experience configuring core Service Now modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with workflows, business rules, UI actions/policies, and system configurations
- Basic scripting experience (JavaScript, XML, HTML, SQL, or Power Shell)
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM/ITIL) processes
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience with integrations (SOAP, REST, web services)
- Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, ADFS, or SSO
- Experience supporting application lifecycle processes (design, development, testing, deployment)
- Experience promoting update sets across Service Now environments
- Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated environment
