Lead Insurance Defense Counsel

Location: Pennsylvania (Remote)

A well-established insurance defense law firm is seeking an experienced Lead Insurance Defense Counsel to manage a full caseload of civil litigation matters. This role is primarily remote and offers the opportunity to independently handle cases from inception through resolution, with the support of a dedicated paralegal for case management and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage matters efficiently in a flexible, remote environment.

• Manage and oversee a full caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation
• Appear in court as required
• Collaborate with an assigned paralegal to ensure effective case management and administrative support
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation
• Meet deadlines while managing multiple active matters

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania (required)
• New Jersey bar admission preferred, but not required
• Minimum 5+ years of civil litigation experience, specifically in insurance defense
• Experience with hourly billing preferred
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
