Part-Time Farmer's Market Associates

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring part-time Farmer's Market Assistants at our farmer's market stand in the Lancaster County Farmer's Market in Wayne, PA!

These positions are between 15-30 hours per week with work days on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Availability options include 20-30 hours per week or shifts of 10-12 hours per week, depending on candidate availability. Employees receive free lunch and employee discounts.

• Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
• Stocking/building case displays
• Product preparation
• Assist with market stand setup and tear down
• Cleaning and sanitizing market cases
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
• Differentiates between products, helping customers compare flavors, textures, and pairings
• Answer customer questions and address concerns
• Make helpful suggestions useful to the customer
• Handle transactions with accuracy
• Ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
• Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
• Additional sanitation and market support as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of retail experience desired
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
