Brightview Senior Living is seeking a Traveling Skilled Craftsman to support multiple senior living communities within our portfolio. In this field-based role, you'll travel to Brightview locations to perform skilled carpentry, basic electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC troubleshooting, painting, and general building maintenance. You'll complete preventive maintenance, address work orders, and support small renovations to ensure safe, attractive, and comfortable spaces for our residents and associates.
Partnering closely with on-site teams, you'll plan work to minimize disruption, uphold safety and building code standards, and deliver resident-first, hospitality-focused service. Responsibilities
- Travel between Brightview Senior Living communities to complete scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks
- Perform skilled carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs to maintain safe, attractive buildings
- Conduct preventive maintenance on resident rooms, common areas, and building systems
- Respond promptly and compassionately to resident and associate service requests
- Ensure work complies with safety, building, and life-safety codes and Brightview standards
- Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Collaborate with community leadership to prioritize projects and minimize disruption to residents
- Document work performed in maintenance systems and communicate status updates clearly
- Support capital improvement and renovation projects as needed
- Model Brightview's resident-first, team-oriented culture while working in occupied senior living communities
