SQL systems.
You will collaborate with analytical teams to implement data solutions, contribute to new and existing workflows, and provide post-production support. The role also includes working with APIs to ingest and expose data, supporting both batch and near real-time integrations. Working within established SDLC practices, you will help deliver reliable, scalable data integration solutions while continuing to grow your technical expertise in AWS-based data services
What you'll be doing
* Participate in analysis, design, and ETL development as part of an Agile/Scrum team
* Assist in implementing data mapping and data modeling techniques (e.g., normalized, star, and snowflake schemas) to support data quality and integrity
* Perform technical tasks including analysis, requirements gathering, development, testing (unit and integration), and support following SDLC practices
* Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, S3, and Redshift
* Integrate data from external and internal systems using RESTful APIs and support API-based data ingestion and delivery
* Collaborate with team members to deliver data solutions and support ongoing enhancements
* Stay informed about current tools, technologies, and best practices in data engineering, and apply them when appropriate
* Support process improvements within the team to increase efficiency and quality
* Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and help implement solutions
What we're looking for
Must-Haves:
* 1-3+ years of experience in application development or ETL/data engineering roles
* 1-3 + years of experience working with data warehouses, operational data stores, or data marts
* Hands-on experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language (Java, .NET, etc.)
* Working knowledge of relational database systems and data integrity concepts
* Basic to intermediate understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical design)
* Familiarity with SQL and databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
* Experience working with or consuming APIs (REST/JSON) for data integration
Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience working with ETL tools or frameworks (e.g., AWS Glue, Informatica, etc.)
* Exposure to AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Aurora
* Experience developing or integrating with APIs for data exchange (RESTful services, microservices)
* Understanding of batch and/or real-time/event-driven data processing concepts
* Familiarity with Big Data or No
SQL technologies (Mongo
DB, Cassandra, Hive, etc.)
* Experience supporting or developing data pipelines in a team environment
