Safety Coordinator

Work directly with the Director of HR & Safety assisting with all duties as related to Health, Safety, and Environmental.

• Maintain safety training data base.
• Assist in investigation of near misses and first aids.
• Assist in new employee visitation process.
• Update JSHA’s as needed.
• Complete Safety audits as assigned.
• Keep SDS current and send out necessary emails/make phone calls to obtain if needed.
• Assist in driving and maintaining 6S Program.
• Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Create, maintain and audit LOTO procedures.
• Create and analyze safety data/trends.
• Willing to expand education through external courses.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Help with Continuous Improvement as needed.

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• General Computer Skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining training database and processing paperwork.
• Be able to stand or sit for lengths in time.
