The Scheduler II plays a critical role in project management by developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets. This position leverages 5–10 years of progressive scheduling experience to support complex projects, drive risk mitigation efforts, and provide analytical insights to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing large-scale project schedules in engineering or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities Project Scheduling & Planning- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software
- Ensure alignment with project objectives, milestones, and critical paths
- Lead schedule development for complex, multi-phase projects
- Monitor schedule performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Assist in preparing comprehensive project cost estimates and financial forecasts
- Monitor actual costs against budgeted plans
- Support financial tracking and variance analysis
- Collect, analyze, and interpret project performance data
- Generate detailed reports for stakeholders and leadership
- Prepare executive-level project status reports and presentations
- Provide insights to support data-driven decision-making
- Identify and assess project risks and opportunities
- Contribute to development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Monitor and report risk impacts to schedule and cost
- Ensure adherence to project management standards and best practices
- Promote strong communication across project teams and external stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior scheduling personnel when applicable
- Bachelor's Degree in:
Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field - 5–10 years of progressive experience in project scheduling
- Demonstrated mastery of scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
