Special Education Para educator
Waynesboro Area Senior High School $18.29 per hour, 8.0 hours per day, 184 days, 6:45AM-3:15PM. Full-time position with benefits. The WASD is seeking a para educator/caregiver who has experience working with special needs individuals in a school setting or care facility. Special education para educators provide academic support and guidance, emotional support, behavior monitoring and may assist students with their personal care needs.
All special education para educators work closely with teachers and other professional staff to support students' needs and goals to be successful in school. Transportation duties are required. We are looking for a reliable and devoted applicant. Only apply if you are a serious applicant who has a strong desire to work with students with special needs. AED training, CPR, and First Aid preferred.
Background clearances are required for all positions. After 60 days of satisfactory performance, newly hired support staff will be reimbursed $200.00 to cover the cost of background checks, physical, and TB test.
