Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic

D.L. George and Sons Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Must possess knowledge in all aspects of heavy equipment repairs. Class B CDL License is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Repairing heavy equipment, over the road tractors, trailers and automobiles.
May operate a variety of equipment including hand and power tools.
May be required to work at construction job sites, along highways or in a garage setting.
Follow directions and instructions of the Shop Supervisor.
Ability to troubleshoot problems with minimal assistance.
Ability to complete required documentation, when needed.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience preferred in the use of CAT SIS and ET software.
The Construction Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and balance.
They must be able to read and understand warning signs and labels on a construction site, be able to interpret plans, drawings, and written instructions and specifications.
They should be capable of working as a member of a team and have basic problem-solving and math skills.
They must possess the knowledge and ability to operate and repair equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
