Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role is perfect for you if you are a motivated team player with a keen eye for detail. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accuracy and timely execution of various accounting functions, including auditing, individual and business tax returns, and client bookkeeping.

This role is a permanent position that will allow you to utilize your expertise to improve our financial processes and ensure our accounting operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.

Prepare and review tax returns, including 1040 individual returns and business returns.

Conduct audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.

Manage client bookkeeping, including maintaining records of invoices and receipts.

Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.

Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.

Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial procedures.

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Provide expert advice to our team on tax-related matters and financial planning.

Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on auditing, tax returns, and client bookkeeping.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel.

Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.

Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
